Location -  Hebron is located in Morton County, 63 miles west of Bismarck, North Dakota and 40 miles east of Dickinson, North Dakota.  The Area is 1.502  square miles and the Elevation is 2,165 feet above sea level.

Origin - Founded in 1885, the seeds for Hebron were sown like most Dakota Territory towns with the Northern Pacific Railroad, a store and a church. The first settlers were German immigrants from Chicago, a group under the auspices of the colonization and encouragement of the Evangelical Synod of North America.  The name, Hebron, was a reference to the Biblical vale of Hebron in Palestine and in translation means “fellowship.”

Population - The total population of Hebron is 794 from the 2020 Decennial Census of the United States Census Bureau.  Of this population, 21.5% are children under 18 years of age and 24.8% are adults over the age of 65.

Employed Population - Of the employed, 27% are in Educational Services, Health Care and Social Assistance, 14.3% are in Agriculture,  Forestry,  Fishing and Hunting, and Mining, 13% are in Manufacturing, and 10.5 % are in Construction. 

Median Family Household Income - $68,750 - $76,484 

Housing - The city of Hebron has a total of 413 housing units.  Homeownership in Hebron is 81.5%. 

Health Care - Hebron is located between two exceptional health care centers.  The Glen Ullin Family Medical Center is a fully staffed medical clinic east of Hebron.  The Richardton Clinic is a fully staffed medical clinic just west of Hebron.  Both clinics are less than a 20 minute drive.

Two hospitals, Jacobson Memorial Hospital in Elgin, ND and CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson Medical Center in Dickinson, ND are both within 45 minutes from Hebron. 

Temperature - The average winter high is 27 degrees (December - February), and the average winter low is 6 degrees.  The average summer high is 80 degrees (June - August), and the average summer low is 53 degrees.

Precipitation - The average annual precipitation is 17.29 inches, with an average snowfall of 37 inches.
